CHAMPAIGN - Illinois basketball coach John Groce was asked which player has stood out the most during the offseason workouts, and without hesitation Groce said sophomore Nnanna Egwu has been the one that has done everything right.

Egwu didn't play a ton of minutes last year, but he did play in all 32 games.  He will be called upon immediately to help make up for the loss of Meyers Leonard.  Egwu is big and skilled.  He should be able to do it all for the Illinois offense.
