PAXTON - Unity High School and Monticello High School have applied to join the Sangamon Valley Conference, according to PBL athletic director John Overstreet.  SVC principals are scheduled to meet in Rantoul on Wednesday, October 10th.  At that meeting, they could take a vote on whether to accept Unity and Monticello.

Those two schools, along with Maroa-Forysth, were left behind when nine schools left the Okaw Valley Conference.
