MISHAWAKA, Ind. - Bad new for Illini basketball fans on the recruiting front Thursday.

4-star point guard Demetrius Jackson (Mishawaka, IN) made his announcement on national television, and he chose Notre Dame over the Fighting Illini.  Illinois was in his final two, but he goes with the Irish.

Jackson is ranked by ESPN as the No. 4 point guard in the country for the Class of 2013, and he lives just minutes from Notre Dame's campus.
