CHAMPAIGN - Tim Beckman is putting to rest any talk of a quarterback controversy.  The Illini coach came right out and said Monday Nathan Scheelhaase is the starting quarterback despite a sub-par performance Saturday.

Scheelhaase was back on the field after missing two games with a sprained ankle, and he didn't last long.  He threw an interception and lost a fumble, then he was benched after the first quarter.

Reilly O'Toole came in and completed 19 of 25 passes, but Scheelhaase - who Beckman admitted looked "rusty" Saturday - still has a lock on the job.
