CHAMPAIGN - The best defense could be the offense for the Illinois football team this week.  They say controlling the ball is the key to turning away Louisiana Tech Saturday night.

The defending Western Athletic Conference champs ran 101 offensive plays in a game against Houston earlier this year.  The key for Illinois is simple: just keep Louisiana Tech's offense off the field.  That means controlling the time of possession and then capitalizing when you get the chance for points.
