CHAMPAIGN, Ill. (UI Release) - University of Illinois Division of Intercollegiate Athletics officials announced parking changes as a result of forecast inclement weather for Saturday's Illini football home-opener. Fans with oversized vehicles who have passes for grass lots will be moved to paved lots.
Parking Changes
All fans bringing RVs, motorhomes or oversized vehicles to Saturday's game will be directed to park in Lot 33, a hard-surface lot that borders St. Mary's Road between Oak Street and First Street. I Fund parking passes will be honored in Lot 33.
Fans with pull-behind trailers who usually park in Lot 42 (southeast corner of Fourth and Kirby), will be directed to park in the north half (along Kirby Ave.) of Lot 45 or in Lot 48.
A decision will be made early Saturday morning about Street Fest and Illini Walk. Fans will be able to find details on FightingIllini.com, the official Twitter accounts of Illini Football and Illini Athletics, or on the flagship station of the Illini Sports Network, WDWS AM-1400, prior to kickoff.
