Defending WMU's Carder a tall task

CHAMPAIGN - This weekend the Illinois football team will go up against one of the best quarterbacks they'll see all year in Western Michigan's Alex Carder.

Carder is a fifth-year senior who runs the Broncos offense to perfection. Last year he set the school's single-season passing record with nearly 4,000 yards. Against Illinois last year, he threw for 306 yards and two touchdowns.
