CHAMPAIGN - Illinois linebacker Jonathan Brown emerged last year as one of the leaders on the field - and this offseason the team has been leaning on the junior as one of its leaders off the field as well.

Brown earned second team All-Big Ten honors last year and gained a reputation as one of the most disruptive defenders in the country; he was sixth in the nation in tackles for loss.

This year he is giving advice to help bring the younger linebackers along.
