CHAMPAIGN - We are less than two weeks away from the Illinois football team's season opener against Western Michigan.  That will be the day fans get to see Tim Beckman's new spread offense in action for the first time.

We haven't really had a chance to see it in practice yet; they were closed to the media all last week.  Nathan Scheelhaase knows the new offense inside-and-out, and he can't wait to unleash it against the Broncos September 1st.
