CHAMPAIGN - The Illinois football season is two weeks away from kickoff, and there are questions on how first-year head coach Tim Beckman will handle game-day operations.

Practice has been closed all week, with no media availability.  Beckman is trying to keep things private and retaining his competitive advantage by not allowing opponents any edge.  Beckman did give some insight on how he is handling his role with the offense and defense.  He'll be involved, but not controlling.
