CHAMPAIGN -- A piece of history is uncovered at a movie theater. Crews started tearing down the Beverly Cinema Thursday.

They're leveling the place and building a whole new theater. During demolition they opened a time capsule.

It's been in the lobby since the place opened in the 90's, but an older theater put together the capsule in 1965. Inside were some old WCIA-3 newscasts on film, a UI student directory from 1965 and coupons to the movies worth 5 cents.
