Man is dead after driving into ditch

HINDSBORO -- A Douglas County man is dead after driving into a ditch. The crash happened in Coles County about three miles South of Hindsboro.

Police say Michael Simpson was driving on county roads 1820 East and 1775 North. He lost control of his truck flipping it several times.

No one else was hurt. The coroner's office is waiting for results of toxicology tests.
