Former defender Hardee has breakout game on offense

CHAMPAIGN - Illinois head football coach Tim Beckman said Monday the number of injuries on the Illini football team this year is maybe the most he's ever been around as head coach - and with starters on the shelf, that means more playing time for the young guys.

Justin Hardee had a breakout game Saturday against Charleston Southern.  The true freshman receiver caught five passes for 99 yards.
