Yes, we cast for and fabricate braces and orthosis, but we’re so much more!

We excel at repairs and shoe modifications, and feature running apparel, handbags, socks, and an exceptional selection of fine footwear.

  • About Heel To Toe

Heel to Toe opened as an Earth Shoe store at Market Place mall in 1976. Shortly after we grew into a multibrand comfort shoeshoe_2 store that specialized in prescription footwear. We moved to downtown Urbana in 1987 and expanded both our floor space and pedorthic practices. In 1995 we opened Birkenstock Concepts, a store that specializes in the sshoe_3ale of Birkenstock products, next door to the Heel to Toe location. Seven years later, we opened New Balance CU, a store specializing in New Balance shoes and apparel, and expanded our shoe repair and orthopedic area, better allowing us to make quicker repairs and provide better service on orthopedics and braces.

If you have questions, we will always be willing to help, and if we can’t we will gladly help point you in the right direction. We continually strive to find new and better ways to serve our customers and look foreword to serving you in any way possible.

  • Your Questions, Answered
    Question:
I was wondering how often should I should get a foot insert? I have
had mine for about 3 years. It is what the my foot doctor took a mold of.

    Heel to Toe Answer:
In regards to how often to get a new insert, I would say on average foot orthotics last two to five years.
There are of course circumstances that would require they be replaced more often, such as diabetic foot conditions, and there are situations where they can last many years. The best idea of course is to consult your prescribing doctor if you feel your inserts may need replacing. The pedorthic staff here at heel to toe would be glad to assist as well.
