The thrill of live television and the chance to make a difference are two of 3 News Anchor Jennifer Roscoe's favorite things about working in the news media. "I love the adrenaline rush of a breaking news story and can't imagine sitting behind a desk everyday doing the same thing. This job is exciting because there's always a different story to cover."

Jennifer currently anchors 3 News at 5, 6 and 10. Jennifer first came to WCIA as an intern, while attending the University of Illinois. She majored in Broadcast Journalism and graduated with honors.

Since 1993, Jennifer has covered hundreds of stories - from raging fires to county fairs to everything in between. One recent feature assignment took her to Hollywood for a behind the scenes look at the popular CBS soap, The Young & the Restless. Not only did Jennifer report on the daytime drama - she ended up in the show as an extra!

Born and raised in the northwest suburbs of Chicago, Jennifer was active in choir and drama in high school. One teacher recommended a career in television since she likes people and is very inquisitive. According to Jennifer, "I always want to know what's going on. Some people might call that nosy. I call it curious."

Jennifer and her husband T. J. have two daughters Sophia Rose and little Tessa Marie. They have another girl - a black Labrador named Bella. The couple enjoy getting their yard in shape, watching movies, and just hanging out. Jennifer also likes shopping for bargains and working out her frustrations during kickboxing.
