A Police Chief was shot during a domestic dispute between a couple in Onargo.
Chief Phil Statler responded to a call between Richard and Teresa Hubney at a bar in Gilman.
The woman ended up in the hospital.
Police went to Hubney's home to arrest him.
There, he threatened suicide.
Chief Statler tried to take a gun from Hubney, when it fired and hit the Chief in the arm.
The bullet went into his torso and lodged in his back.
Richard Hubney is in custody at the Iroquois County Jail.
