The personal stories and how people are affected by them are the reasons WCIA3 News Anchor Anne Dill loves her job. As a co-anchor of the WCIA3 Morning Show, she enjoys helping Central Illinois wake up and giving viewers the information they need to start their day.“I've always been a morning person, but I never imagined waking up this early!" Anne also anchors the WCIA3 News at Noon. Anne grew up in Grand Rapids, Michigan and went to school at DePauw University in Greencastle, Indiana. She majored in Broadcast Journalism and received a minor in Political Science. While at DePauw, Anne worked at WGRE 91.5 PM and held several internships. One of her most exciting internships was in Washington D.C. working for C-SPAN. She started her television career as at WPBN-TV in Traverse City, Michigan. Soon after, Anne landed a job in Cedar Rapids, Iowa working at KGAN-TV as the Johnson County Bureau Chief. Anne takes pride in raising awareness for the Muscular Dystrophy Association by co-hosting the annual Jerry Lewis Telethon with Judy Fraser and Robert Reese. She is a member of the Illinois News Broadcasters Association and previously served on it's Board of Directors. She's also a member of Junior League of Champaign-Urbana. "I believe in being an active member of the community you're representing." Anne lives in Champaign with her husband, two sons, Charlie and Joshua and cocker spaniel, Augie. Anne enjoys travelling and is currently training for her second half marathon. |
