Reported by: Blake Wood / WCIA 3 News Thursday, May 21, 2009 @08:20pm CDT SPRINGFIELD - Two sisters are taking their message of hope to a big screen near you.
The pair wrote the song "Price of Peace" to show the struggle families face when a loved one is deployed. Now they have their own music video. Friday movie theaters across the country will show the music video. 13-year-old Alyssa Gaddis wrote the lyrics after a deployment ceremony. Her father is a member of the National Guard. He took those words to a composer who added music and the National Guard took notice. They paid for Alyssa and her 16-year-old sister Cassy to travel to Nashville and shoot a music video. Both know the pain of having a family member serving. The girls are in good company Kid Rock and Three Doors Down also have National Guard music videos. The girls have been singing together for about 5 years, but this was the first song Alyssa ever wrote. The girls already have a theater picked out for Friday. They plan to have a front row seat to the big premiere.
