"We are excited for the season and from the ticket reports I've been getting, it sounds like our fans are ready to go as well," head coach Bruce Weber said. "Student numbers are up and we have a handful of games close to sellouts. But we've got a lot of big games on the schedule and the Big Ten will be extremely competitive this year, so the home crowd will be a big factor each and every night out. We're also pleased to have an outstanding opponent like Gonzaga coming to the United Center on Jan. 2, and I'm sure our alumni in Chicagoland will come out to see that important matchup."
