CHAMPAIGN, Ill. - The Fighting Illini baseball team will split into two squads for the annual Orange and Blue World Series, which begins Saturday and will end on Oct. 10. The series marks the end of the fall practice period and serves as an opportunity for team bragging rights. The first game will be Saturday, Oct. 3, at 10 a.m. at Illinois Field, with game two on Sunday at 11:30 a.m. Games three and four will be Thursday, Oct. 8, and Friday, Oct. 9, both at 3:30 p.m. Game five will be Saturday, Oct. 10, following that day's Illinois football game. The series is free and open to the public.
