The Whole Foods Grocery Store will stop using plastic bags at its 270 stores. It's now handing out reusable bags to customers. Plastic bags can take a thousand years to break down. And on Earth Day, shoppers will only be able to use recycled paper bags or their own re-usable bag. The company hopes the ban will keep 100 million plastic bags out of landfills each year.
