Reported by: Kalee Dionne/WCIA 3 News Friday, Sep 18, 2009 @05:22pm CDT ATWOOD, IL--Piatt County Sheriff's investigators say a Spanish teacher's sexual lesson plans did not break the law.
The Sheriff's Department and the State's Attorney are leaving it to the school to handle. The Atwood-Hammond School Board met Thursday night and have reached a decision. They are staying tight lipped about how they are handling this complaint. They did release a statement that says, "The Board of Education has been made aware of a situation involving a member of our staff. The Board would like to state that our Administration has investigated this situation thoroughly and a resolution to the situation has been implemented that has been approved by the Board of Education and is in compliance with school policy." Students say that Tether Campbell wasn't in school today. Both the Principal and Superintendent wouldn't comment on the future of the teacher. Campbell is in the hot seat for teaching sexual phrases in her class. |
