Erin Maloney comes to Central Illinois as the Springfield bureau reporter for WCIA/WCFN. Originally from Lutz, Florida, Erin graduated from George Washington University in Washington, D.C., where she majored in journalism.

While in Washington, Erin interned at WJLA-TV, CBSNews.com, and Belo's Capital Bureau. She also reported and anchored for her school's television station, GW-TV.

Although Erin has always wanted to be a reporter, she took a semester off from GW to intern for her favorite television show, Late Night with Conan O'Brien. After graduation, she spent some time at WNBC-TV in New York City during a fellowship for the International Radio and Television Society.

Now Erin's trying her best to get used to winters in the Midwest. When she's not reporting, she likes spending time with family and friends, and watching her team, the Atlanta Braves.
