Cortney says she loves to talk to people, and that’s why doing it for a living is a dream come true. “I really enjoy meeting new people and finding out what they care about,” she said. “I feel it’s a privilege to tell their stories” Cortney started her journalism career at Bloomberg News. She helped produce Bloomberg’s morning programs, writing a daily segment called Stocks to Watch. Before that she was in graduate school at Northwestern University’s Medill School of Journalism. She earned her masters in broadcasting. Cortney got her undergraduate degree in business at Georgetown University. In her free time Cortney plays tennis and read. |
