In Crime Watch tonight, police are looking for the suspect. They believe he took the tools in hopes of making some quick cash. Tony Ortiz with the University of Illinois Police Department says, the truck was parked at 202 East Peabody in Champaign on Monday, August 3rd. Witnesses say the suspect broke the back window of the truck's topper and stole a tool case. It was the middle of the afternoon. A DeWalt circular saw, drill, sawzall and flashlight were all inside the case. Click on the video icon to see what the tools may have looked like. They were all 18-volt power tools. Witnesses saw the suspect run from the parking lot down Stadium Drive toward Neil. Police have upped their patrols because of all the construction on campus and they hope to catch this guy. The suspect is described as a black man with short hair, 5-11, 180 pounds. He was wearing a red tank top and ragged jeans.
