WCIA reserves the right to temporarily suspend contest without notice. CONTEST OVERVIEW: Each
Weekday during the 6 and 10pm newscasts one VCC number will be
identified. The registered cardholder has between 8am and 5pm the
following business day to contact WCIA at 1-217-356-8333 or email us at viewersclub@wcia.com.
A WCIA representative will coordinate a time with winner to physically
claim their prize. All prizes must be claimed in person at the WCIA
studios within 30 days of winning. Chosen VCC’s for Prize Giveaway will
become ineligible for contest participation within a 3 month window.
Windows are defined as Jan 1-Mar. 31, Apr. 1-June30, Jul 1-Sept. 30,
Oct. 1-Dec. 31 of each calendar year. How To Enter Contest: WCIA 3 will randomly draw one winning Viewers Club number and display it online in the In The Know section of illinoishomepage.net. In order to win, the winner must have only one registered number in the O'Brien Auto Park WCIA 3 Viewer's Club. Prize Package: Winner will receive a $100 check from WCIA 3. WCIA 3 and sponsors assume no liability or responsibility in connection with the use of any prize awarded hereunder nor in connection with any warranty or representation therewith. Prize Redemption/Claim/Releases:The owner of the winning number has until 5 p.m. the following business day to call 217-356-8333 to claim their prize. Unclaimed prize will be forfeited. The winner must complete a signed affidavit of eligibility and liability/publicity release. To meet Federal Tax Regulations, the winner must provide his or her social security number and is responsible for all taxes associated with the prize. The prize is considered income and taxes on the prize are the sole responsibility of the prizewinner. Compliance with all applicable federal and state laws, rules and regulations are the sole responsibility of the prizewinner. The prize winner, by acceptance of a prize, agrees to release WCIA 3, Nexstar Broadcasting Inc., its parents, subsidiaries, affiliated companies, sponsors, advertising and promotion agencies, their immediate families, successors and assigns from any and all liability for claims, actions or proceedings for injuries or damages sustained in connection with the receipt, ownership or use of the prize or while traveling to, preparing for or participating in any contest-related activity. By entering the contest and winning a prize, the winner grants WCIA 3, Nexstar Broadcasting, Inc., its parents, subsidiaries, affiliated companies, sponsors, advertising and promotion agencies, the right to use and publicize his or her name, photograph, voice or likeness and has accepted and agreed to be bound by these rules. Eligibility: Contest open to residents in the WCIA viewing area only. Must be 18 years old or older to enter and win. Employees of WCIA/WCFN, Nexstar Broadcasting Inc., its parents, subsidiaries, affiliated companies, sponsors, advertising and promotion agencies and their immediate families are not eligible to participate. The term “immediate families” includes spouses, grandparents, parents, siblings, children and grandchildren. The pre-verified (by phone) winner will be required to furnish legal picture identification and proof of age when he or she claims his or her prize. WCIA 3 reserves the right to disqualify any contestant if the contest rules are violated. WCIA 3’s judgment as to such matters shall be final. No substitution of prizes or transfer of prizes to a third party is permitted. If it is determined that the winner is ineligible to participate, the prize will be awarded to the first alternate winner. If it is determined that the first alternate winner is ineligible to participate, the prize will be awarded to the second alternate winner. If it is determined that the second alternate winner is ineligible to participate, the prize will not be awarded. Liability: WCIA/WCFN, Nexstar Broadcasting Inc., its parents, subsidiaries, affiliated companies, sponsors, advertising and promotion agencies, are not responsible for: 1. Problems associated with television transmission, radio transmission, cable transmission, phone lines, or the web site for this contest that are beyond the control of WCIA/WCFN. 2. Typographical errors in any printed materials relating to the contest. 3. Cancellations, postponements, or delays, including delays in entries mailed to WCIA 3. |
