Question: What do I need to know or what information do I need before selecting a refrigerator?

Answer: It is best if consumers have the dimensions of their current refrigerator and the dimensions of the opening. This will help us find the right-sized refrigerator, even if it is not the exact same size of the current refrigerator.

*IMPORTANT-When you make your measurements please measure the width between the countertops, between the walls, or between the wall and countertop depending on how your kitchen is arranged. It is also important to measure from the baseboard that will face either side of the refrigerator.  Even though there may be enough room between the two walls, the width will decrease if you have baseboard trim. If there is a cabinet above, measure from the underside lip of the cabinet to the floor, and also measure the depth of the cabinet. This will let us know if the cabinet will make contact with the case or hinges of the refrigerator.

If you will be selecting a refrigerator that has an icemaker or water dispenser,  look to see if you have a flexible waterline running to the refrigerator, and is the flex line PVC (plastic) or copper.

If a water line is needed, we will need to know if there is access to a rigid water supply line, such as under the kitchen sink, crawl space, or in a basement. It is also important for us to know if the rigid water supply line is PVC (plastic) or copper.
