    Event Details:
This fall, UFL Reads recognizes Banned Books Week (September 26-October 3, 2009) by reading three controversial books. Our selections were all challenged for various reasons in libraries during the past year .

Now in current release as a motion picture, My Sister’s Keeper tackles the controversial topics of ethics and genetic engineering. Anna ‘s birth wasn’t just a happy accident—she was planned as a potential bone marrow donor who might save her sister’s life. Thirteen years later, Anna feels her whole existence is defined by this continuing role, and she takes steps so that she can finally be her own unique person. Will she succeed?
